What is HeartMath? Use heart-centered meditation to improve your HRV

HeartMath is an amazing tool that can help transform your stress response. By empowering you to better regulate your response to stressful situations, HeartMath supports your health through the mind/body connection.

With HeartMath, you learn specific strategies to improve how you manage stress. HeartMath also incorporates biofeedback technology, which provides insight into your current baseline and how it improves with using the HeartMath strategies. The biofeedback is based on HRV, or heart rate variability.

When you learn the HeartMath strategies, you equip yourself with tools to use in the moment of a stressful situation. They’re meant to be used in real life, and no one else actually knows when you’re using them - it's an internal response.

How to learn HeartMath:

To guide you to better stress regulation, we offer a HeartMath package of 4 weekly sessions that build on each other to support you as you learn and use the strategies!

The logistics:

  • Your first session is 45 minutes and includes a deep dive into HeartMath and how it supports improved psychophysiological health.

  • The next 3 sessions are 25 minutes each.

  • You’ll learn and practice new strategies at each session.

  • We’ll use biofeedback at each session.

What is biofeedback?

Biofeedback is essentially gathering data from your body to assess health. With HeartMath, we use biofeedback via a sensor that gently clips to your ear. You can see the data using an app on your phone or other device.
